After the event, we were left free to wander the Milan Expo, 12 million square feet of exhibits designed to make a person hungry.<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td><a href=\"http:\/\/ift.tt\/1hMOHYB\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ift.tt\/1GdVKFD\" alt=\"Malaysian Expo site\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td><a href=\"http:\/\/ift.tt\/1hMOHYD\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ift.tt\/1GdVJ4u\" alt=\"Another Expo pavilion\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Malaysian Expo site<\/b><\/td>\n<td><b>Another Expo pavilion<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>Every country had a &#8220;pavilion&#8221;&#8211; or part of one, or multiple ones&#8211; consisting of a building constructed solely for the Expo.  The pavilions seemed to reflect the aspirations of each country, whether mosque-like Qatar, souring Russia, Poland-the-hashtag, or Korea&#8217;s building of robots.<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td><a href=\"http:\/\/ift.tt\/1hMOIfd\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ift.tt\/1GdVJ4w\" alt=\"Train in the Milan Science and Tech museum\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td><a href=\"http:\/\/ift.tt\/1hMOHYG\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ift.tt\/1GdVJ4y\" alt=\"Park Sempione\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Milan Science museum<\/b><\/td>\n<td><b>Park Sempione<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>Having seen the Expo on the last day of the Forum, I wandered the city before heading to Nice, visiting the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia &#8220;Leonardo da Vinci&#8221;, with its building of trains, and Park Sempione near the Castello Sforzesco (deserted, because of a little drizzle).<\/p>\n<p>I went to Nice, France, before coming back, but I have no pictures of it because the rain followed me and drenched my phone.
